Christine’s Firehouse Reviews

Hadn't been there for a while, matter of fact, they had moved and I didn't know. Still the same though, tenderloins are still huge and delicious.Wife and I did a call in order , ready when we got there, went home and enjoyed our tenderloin. Too big for one meal, so had leftovers for the next day. Note to self, "Go more often".

Went for the pork tenderloin and will be back!!! Haven't found one in KC in a very long time that lives up to the hype and the menu description until now! Service and atmosphere are friendly and relaxed! Makes eating local enjoyable and well worth it!!!

I had read about the BPT and folks were right. Might have to park away a bit if you are dragging a trailer as I was. 5 choices of potatoes. Do it

This place was absolutely amazing!! The food the service and the ambiance were 10/10! This place is decorated so cute and is so comfortable. I loved it! My husband and I got the tenderloin and shared it and it was big enough for us to both eat and take some home for dinner! Their fries were amazing and I legit just loved it all around.

Great vibe, cold beer and pretty damn good food. Went for the tenderloin of course. I was not disappointed.

We went Christne's to hear the music last night. Howard Mahon was the special guest. It was also open to anyone. I enjoyed it because you got to hear other types of music. Guitarists all had a special talent, some we novice but others were very good. The wait staff was really attentive and helpful. We all ordered the tenderloin sandwich, which is huge! We could have split it, ordered an extra bun and still had a huge sandwich left for each of us. One of our group had the hamburger with bacon, cheese and bacon. He said it was good too. If you are going to converse it is probably not the place for you, the band is really loud. But if you are going to hear music it was a fun place. A few people were dancing in a small area. We sat by the door in front and it was cold when the door opened but when traffic died down it was fine.

OK, I will admit I went here for the first time because my original target lunch destination was PACKED. But what a nice surprise! Nice menu, cool vibe, happy bartender. The food was tasty and came out fast. if you are looking for a quick bite in NKC, or maybe a little happy hour dive action, this is the place. Very fun. I'll do it again. It is much better being flexible!!

For a long time I've heard about this locally famous restaurant. I have friends who eat here all the time. This place is about as local as you can get. It's the place where, truly, everyone knows your name. The food is standard bar fare. Fried mushrooms, onion rings, fried pickles, potato skins and such for appetizers. Nothing unusual or unique for appetizers. We had the breaded mushrooms and they were very good. Main dishes include hamburgers, taco salad, wings, nachos and so much more. They have plenty of salad choices, as well. Their main draw is the pork tenderloin. It's HUGE. Seriously. It's gigantic. It's so big the menu says it comes with a to-go container. LOL. It's easily the size of a large dinner plate. The food is good despite it being bar fare. I had a beer battered po boy and it was very good. The beer battered fries were equally tasty. You certainly won't go hungry at this restaurant. The service was great. We had a very nice and professional server. He was polite and attentive. He added to our dining experience, for sure. All the other servers seemed equally as efficient and good at their craft. This restaurant was easy to access and it did not take us long to get a table. You could tell there were quite a few regulars who seemed right at home. So many restaurants are losing that local feel. We aren't regulars but we were right at home, as well. Everyone made us feel welcome There's nothing fancy about anything anything in this restaurant. The theme is firefighters. They have some interesting firefighting decor displayed about the restaurant. It was interesting to look at all the knickknacks. They have quite an eclectic collection. The artifacts alone are worth a star.

Fun little dive bar in NKC with awesome tenderloins! I stopped in last weekend to try a tenderloin to go and wasn't disappointed. The establishment is pretty small and it was packed because they had a live band. The band was fun so we ended up staying to have a few drinks and an app. They don't have drink menus and they don't have specials but most drinks are between $3-4. We tried the fried mushrooms and they came out super fast. They were delicious and I'd get them again. We also got the tenderloin and added an extra bun. The sandwiches are huge! They were well made with a nice crunchy coating but still juicy and not dried out. I opted for the beer battered fries for a side. They were also good. The service was awesome considering how busy they were and how loud it was. I was surprised that the waitress could even hear the order.
